We provide training for various types of vehicles:

LGV (Large Goods Vehicle)  for the following categories:
C1 Rigid goods vehicle between 3500kg and 7500 kg towing a trailer up to 750kg
C Rigid goods vehicle over 7500kg towing a trailer up to 750kg
C1 & E As for category C1 but towing a trailer over 750kg - total weight not more than 12000kg
C & E As for category C but towing a trailer over 750kg

 

 

PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle)
D1 Minibuses with between 9 and 16 passenger seats towing a trailer up to 750kg
D Bus with more than 16 passenger seats towing a trailer up to 750kg

General steps to follow in order to obtain a licence for the category of vehicle you wish to drive:
i Obtain application form for provisional licence
ii Obtain Medical application form and go to G.P. for a medical check
iii Get a passport photograph
iv Send (i), (ii) and (iii) off to Coleraine (DVLA) with appropriate fee.
 v Specialist theory course available and once completed you can book and sit theory test (Theory book should be purchased)
vi You can come to TTS any morning during the week (8.30am) for a FREE assessment to determine how many days training would be required.
vii At this assessment you will receive a driving test application form.
viii Complete this test form and send it to TTS along with a cheque for the test fee.
ix TTS will send your test application form and payment to the Test Centre and get a test date for you.
x TTS will then programme the training according to this test date, which will be scheduled for the last day of training.
 N.B. In order to obtain a category C & E licence you must first obtain a category C licence.

 

Forklift Truck Training

Transport Training Services have just completed a purpose built training area for Forklift Truck Training.

We have been offering training for Counter-Balance, Reach Truck and Side Loader training at your company's premises for several years but due to popular and increased demand from the industry, we are now in a position to train your staff at our location.

We have an excellent enclosed area with the latest racking system and can facilitate Counter-Balance or Reach Truck training to meet your individual needs.

We also have incorporated into the training, the correct loading and unloading of pallets onto a vehicle.

Videos and lectures will be used to teach the theory of Safe Driving and Health & Safety in relation to Forklift Truck driving.

3 day Full Course
In-company 1 day Refresher (max. 3 operators) - Certificate holders
2 day Full Course (max. 3 operators) - Initial experience
