CPC Freight & Passenger

The CPC is an essential qualification for individuals or companies seeking to obtain a DOE Operator’s Licence to permit the carriage of Freight or Passengers on a commercial basis or for hire and reward. It is also well suited to individuals who are seeking to embark on a career in Transport Management.
 
These qualifications were last updated in December 2011. New candidates must complete one qualification that comprises both National and iNternational elements.

 CPC qualifications currently available:

  • OCR Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers (Road Haulage)
  • OCR Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers (Passenger Transport)
  • OCR Certificate of Professional Competence in International Road Haulage- only for candidates who have achieved a CPC National between 1999 and December 2011
  • OCR Certificate of Professional Competence in International Passenger Haulage- only for candidates who have achieved a CPC National between 1999 and December 2011

By the end of the course the student will be able to understand the elements of management required in every subject for the examinations and have an appreciation of the full range of management skills required to be a Transport Manager

CPC courses and examinations run on a quarterly basis out of our Nutts Corner Training Centre.

For CPC qualifications two examinations have to be completed. These are a one two hour multiple choice paper and a  two hour case study / extended answer paper.

For CPC Freight and Passenger International qualifications one examination must be completed. This is a short response type examination
